traveling lightly
I always like to travel lightly, and I do not under any circumstances like to pay for a carry-on bag. So, when my plans for my trip to Arizona changed on short notice, I found myself booking a flight on the dreaded Frontier airlines. Now, I told myself I’d never do this again after I got stranded overnight for 12 hours because they didn’t account for their pilots’ limits on fly time, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
Since a carry-on bag is upwards of $60 on this budget airline, I needed something that would qualify as a “personal item.” My sister warned me that they had been extra strict lately on what they consider a personal item. Directly from their website, here is how they distinguish between a personal item and a carry-on bag:

Notice how they say, “think backpacks” for carry-ons now? Since when is a backpack not considered a personal item? Since now, apparently. But, don’t fret! I found the perfect backpack for a weekend trip, got it onto my recent Frontier flight, and absolutely loved it during the whole trip.
an amazing Amazon find

Cue the BAGODI Travel Laptop Backpack. Measuring just under the requirements, at 18.1 x 11.8 x 7.9 inches, you can pack a surprising amount in this little bag, and keep it organized. The main compartment folds open just like a suitcase, with straps to secure your luggage and pockets for cosmetics, toiletries, and more.

My favorite part is that even if you overstuff it, it has 4 clips to squeeze everything into the required dimensions. It includes a water bottle holder on the side for easy access, and a charging hookup with easy access via a USB port outside the bag.
Aside from the large, main pocket, There are 2 back pockets, one larger for easy access and another hidden pocket for anti-theft protection. And if that wasn’t enough pockets for you, there are 2 more on the front: one that is perfect for a laptop sleeve, and another to easily access your most important things while travelling like your wallet or in-flight reading.
I stuffed this bad boy to the brim, and had no issues getting it on my Frontier flight. I was nervous heading up to the bag sizer, knowing it met the dimensions almost exactly, but to my surprise, it slid right in perfectly and clearly met the requirement. I have since taken this bag on my trip to see the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, and my trip to Oahu, Hawaii. It has held up tremendously despite being overstuffed and crammed under airplane seats time and time again.
If you’re planning a weekend getaway or just want a large bag you can take on the plane in addition to your regular luggage, I’d highly recommend this bag from Bagodi. If you do choose to give it a try, do know that as an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases, however, my thoughts and opinions in this review are entirely my own, and I purchased this bag with my own money. But if Bagodi decides to throw some money my way, I won’t say no *hint hint*.
It’s a frequent flyer MUST-HAVE!
need extra space?
If you find yourself needing some extra space on your next adventure, you can also get this matching 5 piece luggage set. I might’ve also found a matching cosmetic bag and passport holder.
If you’re going to be traveling, you might as well do it in style. Europe, here I come!
